This fascinating course focuses on the unique aspects of extended cruising, and the challenges a prudent sailor and the boat, will need to be prepared to meet in order to maximize the enjoyment and minimize the risks for those on board the boat.
Some areas covered: cruise planning and the voyage; oceanography and the weather; checklists and repair kits; Maritime Mobile Nets -Ham and SSB; Weather map downloading; email offshore.
Course kit includes: Student Notes, Combined Homework Question and Answers booklet; and Exam.
